DSW Ethiopia
Youth-to-Youth Programme

The Ethiopian Youth-to-Youth Programme (Y2Y) is a comprehensive and country-wide programme designed to improve the sexual and reproductive health of young people by young people. DSW facilitates and funds the development of country wide youth club networks, through which young people have access to quality reproductive health information and services. At present the Ethiopian network comprises 225 youth clubs. Read more about the Y2Y Programme in Ethiopia

Bonga-Project

The project combines nature conservation and reforestation with sexual and reproductive health information and service to local communities in the Bonga rainforest in south-west Ethiopia. DSW implements the project in co-operation with seven partners. The second phase of the project was launched in summer 2006. More information on the project "Bonga forest"

Fight Fistula - Educating and empowering women

Education and family planning services are at the forefront of a new project aimed at preventing fistula, which started in June 2006. "Fight Fistula" involves former fistula sufferers, who will be trained as peer educators to provide reproductive health information to girls and young women. 15 girls-focused clubs have already been identified in the project region Amhara National Regional State in Ethiopia.
