Training
DSW provides:

Advocacy
By undertaking multifaceted advocacy campaigns, DSW Uganda seeks to sustain and increase the support for Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
Networking and Collaboration
DSW Uganda collaborates with government institutions, NGOs such as the National Youth Council and Uganda Reproductive Health Network, donor agencies and community-based organizations (CBOs) for purposes of promoting SRHR activities and support in the country; for example together with the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development.
DSW Uganda operates the Youth Truck. The Youth Truck is a mobile training and mobilization tool available on demand to all partners throughout Uganda. The Youth Truck has capacity to do trainings in a range of areas:
Project implementation
DSW Uganda implements the Youth-to-Youth programme in Uganda in cooperation with 8 local partner NGOS and is strongly involved in resource mobilization through collaborative funding proposals and project implementation in cooperation with other national and international NGOs. Other examples of DSW Uganda’s project implementation are the Euroleverage project for the Bill &Melinda Gates Foundation and the Y2Y-programme sponsored clubs, where private companies or initiatives directly support a youth club and its activities. Capacity building of Y2Y partners
DSW Uganda seeks to enhance the capacity of non-governmental organisations (NGOs), community-based organisations (CBOs) and self-help initiatives (SHIs) in Uganda and the region to successful implementation of sustainable community-based sexual and reproductive health-related interventions, for example through backstopping and training provision for DSW partners in implementing the DSW Y2Y programme.
Training
DSW provides:
- Tailor-made trainings for specific groups and clients in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), e.g. on HIV/AIDS mainstreaming, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of HIV/AIDS mainstreaming activities, income generating activities (IGA), gender and in particular on sexual and gender based violence, advocacy and networking
- Training of Youth Peer-Educators
- Trainings for capacity building to meet emerging needs

- Creating awareness of sexual and reproductive health and rights issues affecting youth among policy makers
- Monitoring and influencing resource allocation
- Facilitating young people’s voices to be heard on local, national and global level
- Promoting SRHR within relevant policy frameworks
